Movies: Ghost World (2001)

"Rebecca: This is so bad it's almost good.
Enid: This is so bad it's gone past good and back to bad again."

Ghost World is basically about an "unyu" no ordinary friendship between two couple people, directed by Terry Zwigoff. Enid (Thora Birch) and Rebecca (Scarlett Johansson) are two socially anomalous best friends who after graduating from high school, struggle to adapt to an adult world of disappointment. The unusual friendship between Enid and Seymour (the amazing! Steve Buscemi) strikes up after Enid and Becca setting up a prank meeting with a lonely, painfully shy, dork, middle-aged subscriber, Seymour, whilst loosening her friendship bond with Becca.

The movie itself is based on the comic book of the same name by Daniel Clowes. I never read the comic but i really enjoy the movie. Personally, because i like open-ended movies (they have more of a "real life" feeling) and all the characters in the movie are extremely strong. But i guess, all the credit goes to Thora, she plays Enid quirkily awesome. I ENVY her 'cause she gets to wear a wide variety of cool and colorful costumes!
